The picture below is our beloved "Peg" at her 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration.  Peg was matriarch of our family, beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother to a clan of nearly 30 of us now.

It was Peggy's dedication to organizing a large number of mostly hand-written recipes that inspired this website.  By the time any of us were old enough to be aware, Peggy was a very good cook.  However I recall stories told by her and her husband (my father) Al, about her struggles with cooking early in their marriage.  So, Peg's Recipe Box is also a testament to her commitment to developing her skills in the kitchen and providing many thousands of tasty meals to our family of eight.
